Korg NTS-1 MKII, Digital-Synthesizer

The Korg NTS-1 MKII is an updated version of the digital synthesizer that emulates the digital user oscillator of the *logue series. It introduces new features such as an 18-key multitouch keyboard, replacing the previous ribbon controller for more precise and polyphonic playing. An eight-step sequencer has been added for recording sequences in real-time or step-by-step, with an autosave function for all parameters. The NTS-1’s engine has been upgraded to include new oscillator models, modulation possibilities, and effects such as distortion, fuzz, various delays, and reverbs. External signals can be used for FM, AM, and ring modulation. The NTS-1 MKII offers connections for Sync-I/O, MIDI-I/O, Audio-I/O (all 3.5 mm), and USB-C for power supply. Like its predecessor, it is sold as a DIY kit, with reversible side panels for personalized customization. The new model supports the Open Source Developer Kit “logueSDK” and provides 3D data on GitHub for modifications. Priced at 129 euros, the availability date is yet to be announced.
